Good morning everyone. Well, depending on where you live. I'm a little late today, so this one will be short, but will be adding all week.
I'm doing a BDSM Blog Hop this week in an effort to educate everyone about BDSM.
I write romance, I'm going to say that up front. My books do contain elements of light BDSM, but at the core they are romance, just more erotic.
I love letting my characters explore their sensual side and learn about themselves and the BDSM world. I educated myself about the world. I'm no expert and I'm sure I'm still getting some things wrong, but I go with my gut a lot of times and what makes sense to my characters.
I'll do a long blog post for my normal Monday blogging and please come back because I will have a give-away and links to the others who are part of this blog hop.
Oh and there will be man candy to look at :)
Until then, have a great Saturday.

The Crazy Life of a Writer
Sorry its been so long once again.
RT (Romantic Times Convention) was fun, exhausting but fun. I really enjoyed it. I met lots of new friends, and was able to meet one of my editors.
New Orleans was fun, I haven't been there in a very long time, hopefully next time I'll have more time and be able to play tourist a little more.
When I came back for New Orleans I had edits from the editor I'd met at RT and a critique from my critique group. I had to knuckle down and get them all done. I'm please to say, I did get them done and I'm back to writing my committed menage book.
Have a great week.

Her past destroyed her heart, can she put it back together in time?
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m a total
science geek and love the unknown.
What do like the most and the least
about writing?
Most:
Ability to create my own worlds and stories that I want to read
Least: The
haters! I know I can’t please anyone, but sometimes those negative reviews or comments
really eat away at me. I need to work on getting tougher skin!
What’s next on the writing horizon
for you?
The Wild
Rose Press just picked up the second book of the Carus Series, so I envision
spending a lot of time going through the editing process with them!
I’ve
completed the third book of the series as well, and am starting on the fourth.
Every day I try to edit or write something!
Is there anything you want to tell
readers?
I hope you
enjoy the book! Happy reading.
Blurb:
Andrea McNeilly's job as a government agent is not asking questions, but then a routine assignment turns into a botched assassination of a Master Vampire's human servant. Answers become a priority. Her search to discover the truth is riddled with obstacles, the largest being an oversized Werewolf who resembles a Norse god. Andy can't afford the distraction he offers, because if she fails, she faces eternal enslavement.
Wick's job is to monitor Andy, but he prefers more intimate activities, none of them G-Rated. His choices, however, are often not his own. His ability to help Andy is limited by his bond to the Master Vampire.
Facing many trials and challenges along her path to redemption, Andy learns the value of her freedom might be set too high.

Excerpt:
A large black wolf trotted into the clearing to confront me. He had a white-tipped snout, white boots and mitts and would have looked cute had he not been the most intimidating Werewolf I’d ever seen. Standing tall and solid, power rolled off of his body. His eyes bore into mine. I sniffed the air. The strong Werewolf scent of rosemary swirled around me, strong and seductive, laced with sugar. A weird fuzzy sensation spread out from my chest. Whoa.
Alpha.
My other form growled low, demanding release, straining against my skin. The energy of the wolves built—layers upon layers of excitement and impatience. The air pulsated with anticipation. They could sense the imminent kill.
Let me out! My other form repeated, throwing her power against my built up walls, howling in defiance.
When the energy of the Werewolves surged, I finally released her. My wolf form flowed out fast, wiping out the feline in little more than a heartbeat. Smaller, weaker and the size of a natural wolf, a Shifter in this form was no match for a Werewolf, especially a dominant one. I had time to meet the eyes of the Alpha for only an instant before the pack leapt forward. My limbs shook. It went against every instinct ingrained within me, but I rolled onto my back—submissive.

March? Already
Sorry to be away so long again.
Part of January and all of February were not good for this writer.
My mom became ill in January and passed away in mid February and I'm just now getting back online and back to the writing and writing life.
Life has its ups and downs and this was one of the big downs, but my family and I are doing good. I know my mom is happy to be with my dad and is gazing down on her family with a smile on her face.
So as March starts, I've laid out new writing plans and goals. Watch my blog for upcoming books and some fun stuff as I start working sharing other Wild Rose Press authors books on my blog. They won't all be erotic so be prepared :)
Have a great week.

Guest: Rachel Leigh Talking about Writer's Block
Today, I'm please to have Rachel Leigh on my blog talking about Writer's Block
Writers
Block – it arrived and bit me in the butt!!
For the
first time since I started writing for publication back in 2010, I am in the
middle of my first ever writing slump and need to vent some frustration!
I can’t
help feeling my inability to move on with my current work in progress has been
brought on by karma. I have always said that ‘writer’s block’ doesn’t exist.
Just write! Anything…everything…it can always be edited, changed or cut, just
write. Well, I’ve tried and tried and still I keep looking at what I’ve written
and say to myself, “What in the world is that supposed to mean? Do? Say? It’s
complete rubbish.”
The
answer, of course, is that something is wrong with the book itself, whether
that be the plot or characters…but lord knows what! Thankfully, I have an
amazing editor and an amazing critique partner who is stalwartly trying to pull
me through this mire. I think the problem lies with my heroine and her
motivation. It’s flimsier than a pair of seven denier pantyhose! No doubt, the
mist will clear eventually… L
So what happens
next? Back to the drawing board, I think. My editor has a lot more belief in me
than I do right now but that’s what writing is, it’s a hard, dirty job that a
huge amount of aspiring writers give up on. Teem the hard work, with the lack
of ideas, with the time constraints, with the rejection and you’ve got to ask
yourself, “WHY am I doing this?”
The
answer is clear to anyone who feels, like me, they’ve found their calling…we
HAVE to do this or be less than half the person we were meant to be. So onwards
and upwards…watch this space for the result!
Rachel’s
latest release is set in the UK show jumping world – Teach Me To is available
right now from The Wild Rose Press.
Here’s the blurb and buy links:
Caroline James wants to be the best
investigative journalist London has ever seen. But until she has the money to
leave the small town of Fayre Mead, she's stuck and her resentment is building.
So when she’s assigned to cover the Lakeland Horse Trials and meets sexy, dark-haired,
and astoundingly fit horse trainer, Michael Canton, she is happy to vent some sexual and emotional frustration…and write the story
of her career. But after getting personal with Michael, can she remain
impersonal with the article?
Michael Canton will do anything in
his power to silence his tyrannical father once and for all. Under extreme
pressure to compete in the countries show jumper trials and prove his worth,
Michael’s fiery emotions are running high. Caroline’s beauty and sexual
confidence stokes an inner strength and determination he never knew he had. But
can he trust her to know the difference between fact and fiction? Together,
they are a formidable team…but will their burning ambitions ultimately blow
them apart?

venture into the historical genre for the first time and write a trio of
novellas set in a small English village in the early1900s. The characters we

New Year and Goals
Happy New Year!!!
I hope everyone had a great New Year and partied like there was no tomorrow : )
As the new year dawns, I look back on the previous year and look at was accomplished on my goal list.
Every year I write goals for the year, as they are related to my writing business, then put them away only to pull them out at the end of that year.
For 2013 out of 27 goals, I accomplished 17 of them so that wasn't bad. Then I realized there were 8 more goals I had completed that were not on the list.
I feel really good about what I accomplished in 2013. It was a transition year for me, with moving to Washington State, getting settled in a brand new home, dealing with family and just the ups and downs of life.
I've already written my goals for 2014 and there are a lot of them, but I'm determined to make this my best year yet.
Have a great week.
