My Sexy Celebration by Marie Tuhhart #mysexysaturday

It's that time again for My Sexy Saturday.

This week's theme:  My Sexy Celebration

I hope you enjoy this week's Sexy Saturday.  This is from an upcoming project Doms of the Silver Screen: Michael.  My hero, Michael, and the heroine, Kelsey, are at a Hollywood party.

Kelsey clenched her hands at her side.  She wanted to march across the room and tear that bottled blonde off her man.  A soft hand touched her arm, and Kelsey glanced at the woman she'd been talking too.  Nicki Masters, a friend of Chris's. They'd been introduced earlier.
"Don't.  That's what she wants.  For you to make a scene."
Kelsey blew out a breath.  "She needs to get her own man."  She trusted Michael.  He wasn't like her ex, but old insecurities hammered at her brain. What if Michael did stray?  Was the perfume on his shirt the first sign?
"I like you, Kelsey."  Nicki pulled a card out of her purse.  “Give me a call and we’ll do lunch.”
          “I’d like that.”
“Good. I’ll tell you all about my time as a scream queen and how Samantha Collins is only interested in finding a sugar daddy.”  Nicki grinned.  “But for right now, just hang on Michael will be with you in a few seconds."  With that, Nicki sauntered her way across the room, and said something to the blonde, who then dropped her arm from around Michael's shoulders to gesture with her hands.
Michael stepped away from the woman, said something, then started the trek across the room to her.  When he reached her, he didn't say a word, but took her by the arm.  He led her out onto the patio and over to a secluded corner.  "Never forget, pet.  You belong to me and I belong to you."

I hope you've enjoyed this week's My Sexy Saturday.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.

Sexy Walks In by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

I love My Sexy Saturday because it allows me to share tidbits of my books with the readers and others who read my blog.

This week's theme:  Sexy Walks In

I hope you enjoy this week's Sexy Saturday.  I couldn't resist  these seven paragraphs More Than One Night when Michael walks into the bar.

“Major hunk alert at eleven o’clock.”

Beth Grant swiveled around in her chair at Raven’s Club to see who Carla was talking about and almost slid right out of her seat. Goose bumps shimmied up her body as her gaze wandered over him. Hunk wasn’t the word. Greek God was better. Midnight hair tossed by the San Francisco wind, nose slightly crooked, and full sensual lips. Her gaze continued down, a white dress shirt, sans tie, tucked into a pair of black slacks showing off his trim waist, down to a pair of expensive Italian loafers.

At nine in the evening, he appeared as fresh as a spring day—and completely out of place at the Club.   Raven’s was a casual place, South of Market street, where blue jeans and polo shirts were the norm for men. With the women it varied from dresses, to jeans and crop tops, to miniskirts. The club boasted a live DJ along with a minuscule dance floor. Most came to listen to the music, drink beer and mingle in the smoke free environment. But the noise level could sometimes reach deafening proportions.

Her gaze followed the hunk as he sauntered to an empty table, admiring the grace and elegance he had in every step. He exuded power and confidence, and instinctively her thighs clenched because he was a man who could take a woman for one hell of a ride.

One hell of a ride? What the hell am I thinking? Ogling men wasn’t her style. Besides, the last thing she needed right now was a man consuming her thoughts. Men were nothing but trouble and not a good kind of trouble either.

Time to remember Beth’s Rules for Dating. One: No thinking about men. Two: No thinking about men Three through ten: No thinking about men.

Although this man did tempt her to do more than think, he tempted her to stare and touch.

I hope you've enjoyed this week's My Sexy Saturday.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.

Blog Tour - Laying Down the Law by Becky McGraw #blogtour

Laying Down the Law - tour header

WLK synopsis
Cowboys are a different breed...
They work hard, play hard and love harder. It's all about the ride until the right woman makes them fall.

Sheriff Brock Cooper's life is in the toilet. His son is gravely ill with a mystery ailment, the medical bills are piling up, and he is working two jobs trying to make ends meet. This was a far cry from where he thought his life would end up after being a hometown football hero, then a pro player until he washed out. But it is what it is and he's dealing with it, because he's desperate to find help for his son.

Melanie Fox hated everything about her hometown whose only claim to fame was it was situated in the same Georgia county where the movie Deliverance was filmed. When she was delivered from that red clay hellhole and the bullies who harassed a nerdy, bookworm at eighteen, Melanie swore she'd never go back. But when she gets a call from the town's new sheriff to tell her that her crazy mother's antics have put her in the hospital, Melanie knows she has to go.

This time, however, she's going back as Dr. Melanie Fox who no longer wears half-inch-thick glasses, carries around extra fluff or needs anyone's approval. She can't help but wonder though, what her secret first love who crushed her sixteen-year-old heart, would think of her now.

*NOTE* This novel was previously included with the Cowboy Justice 12-Pack

Cover Reveal - Destiny's Choice by Victoria Saccenti

Destinys Choice - CR header
No one evades Fate. Especially when the escape route is cracked and full of holes.
As a naïve young woman, Marité Muro nearly drowned in a maelstrom of confusing emotions stirred by two very different men. One whose tortured soul tugged at her heart, another whose scorching touch made her innocent body want…more.
Four years in a Spanish prep school gave her time to gain perspective, and now she’s come home to Florida knowing what she wants. The one man she’s never been able to forget, and she’s ready to prove their age difference is no obstacle.
Vietnam left scars on Brian MacKay, some visible, some invisible—and infinitely more dangerous. His war buddy’s sister-in-law has ripened into a tempting, irresistible woman, but she is forbidden fruit. Yet she challenges his resolve until, in a moment of weakness, his demons slip free.
Marité isn’t sure why the man who held her closer than skin is suddenly holding her at arm’s length, but she isn’t afraid to fight for him. Even when someone returns from the past who could destroy everything. Her home. Her family. And Brian’s love.

EXCERPT:
December 1969
You’re late…you’re late. Where the heck are you? Out of the corner of her eye, Marité Muro scanned the hallway of the chapel. To her mounting frustration, several attendees standing next to a column blocked her view. She could stare forever and accomplish nothing. Neither the people nor the column would move out of her way. Reality does stink. She didn’t have X-ray vision or mental superpowers like the superheroes in her favorite comics and fantasy novels. Her human anatomy had its limitations, and just to reinforce that concept, a painful stab attacked her temples as a multitude of sparks filled her vision. Half-blind, she tangled the tip of her elegant new shoe with the footed base of a nearby massive candleholder, and she nearly flew forward. Mumbling a curse that would’ve shocked her mother, Marité froze in place, waiting for her vision to clear.
Thanks to the futile search, she’d almost made a fool of herself in front of everyone and, worse, had missed key aspects of a ritual she didn’t know well. She should be following the ceremony. Any minute, the spotlight and all eyes would be on her, which meant ignoring the stupid voice that wouldn’t stop nagging in her mind. The incessant taunts had begun as soon as she took her place by the baptismal font: Go ahead. Turn around. Check the crowd, silly girl. How else will you know? Well, screw the voice. She had an important role and should appear focused on the celebration—same as Brian, her partner in the ceremony—or at least pretend.
Still, she couldn’t stop thinking of Michael. Why aren’t you here?
How about a little peek? the voice insisted. Shifting her gaze to the left hallway, she tried again, seeking a body, a shadow, some movement, anything that might indicate her cousin’s arrival. Nope. Nothing. Zip.
You’re going to ruin it if you don’t show up. How could he miss the triple christening when it meant so much to everyone? The entire family had flown in from the Old Country, not to mention friends from all over. Forget the relatives, she had dreamed about this occasion for weeks, had bought this pink chiffon dress and complementary shoes, hoping to regain his attention. She wanted him to see her among adults, doing adult things like a young lady. Maybe then she’d impress the indifference out of him and the uncomfortable disaffection would end. Not so long ago, he would’ve insisted on driving her. He would’ve been full of advice on the ride over. He used to be so protective and supportive, so affectionate, but lately—
The clinking sound of the swaying censer and Father O’Leary’s voice grew louder. He’d moved from infant to infant, performing the sacramental rite: dabbing bits of salt in their mouths, sprinkling the tiny foreheads with holy water, and lastly anointing them with chrism. And now it was Rebecca’s turn, the gorgeous child cradled in her arms. Marité glanced at the beaming parents standing off to her right, Raquel and Matthew Buchanan, her sister and brother-in-law. Dismissing her earlier preoccupation, Marité sent a silent prayer on their behalf for a life full of well-deserved happinessThey’d struggled enough.
Father O’Leary recited the questions to the godparents, and Marité answered in unrehearsed unison with Brian. The sound of his deep voice, full of emotion and self-assured, rang in her ears as spirals of thick church incense wafted around her with its heady scent. A dreamy feeling overcame Marité. Each I do response seemed to roll out of Brian’s lips in slow motion. The words echoed throughout the room, then ricocheted inside her mind in giant swells. A sense of déjà vu transported her to a distant time in a faraway chamber, richly ornate and full of golden lights, nowhere she knew or had seen before… The experience didn’t last; it ended with the last question but left her shivering. She looked Brian’s way.
“Brian?”
He leaned forward. “Lil’ godmother?”
“Forget it. It’s nothing,” she said quickly. Whatever she’d seen, Brian obviously had not. No point in pursuing it further.
Brian MacKay, Matthew’s best friend and ex-war buddy, was the happiest person she’d ever known in all of her fifteen years. His smile could brighten the gloomiest day. In these days of the Vietnam War, men who survived the jungle came home either physically damaged or with broken spirits, sometimes both. Not Brian. His cheerful disposition had carried him through exhausting physical therapy sessions—she’d heard Raquel and Matthew talk—and conquered his wounds. She watched in awed respect as he moved or walked about, displaying his faltering step like a badge of honor and the ever-present cane like a scepter.
Despite the seven-year gap between them, Brian didn’t condescend to her. He treated her as an equal, and she liked that quality best. When she learned Brian had agreed to become Rebecca’s godfather, she’d been overjoyed and honored. The sacrament would not only bind them to the child but to each other, as compadres in a very special lifelong relationship, almost like parents. Her thoughts pivoted to her absent cousin…and yep, she was back to where she’d started.
“What is it?” Brian nudged her arm. “That frown’s ruining your purdy face.”
Marité knew he’d tried to keep his voice down but was also certain folks in the last row heard him. “Shhh,” she whispered, and, suppressing a rising giggle, she bumped him with her shoulder.
Brian jerked up to his full height, snapping two fingers in mock salute. “Yes, ma’am.”
Rebecca must have found their exchange entertaining, because she decided to join the fun. Her rosebud lips puckered, releasing a loud half-raspberry, half-spit bubble.
“Not very ladylike,” Marité murmured. Brian snickered, and the priest shot them both a warning glare.
Her sister, Raquel, heard the sound and flicked a signal to Matthew. As a lighted taper was presented to Marité and Brian, Matthew retrieved Rebecca in exchange, rescuing everyone from the priest’s displeasure. With little Rebecca’s explorations in sound effects successfully silenced, Father O’Leary nodded, and the baptism proceeded in its ordered sequence.
Boom! The sound of a kneeler dropped carelessly on the floor reverberated throughout the chapel like a discharged cannon. Marité tossed poise out the window and turned, peering above and beyond the curious guests to the source of the commotion.
You know how to make an entrance, don’t you?
With hands pressed against the last pew, Michael leaned forward. His shoulder-length hair, falling in the direction of his hands, concealed his features. On her next breath, Marité evaluated the situation in the room: a pale Aunt Coralina directed a wife-to-husband plea for serenity to Uncle Jonas, whose gaze emitted ice-blue fury toward his irreverent son.
An unexpected censuring scoff out of Brian startled her, and Marité pivoted, beginning to feel like a spinning top. The frown of disapproval was a rare departure from Brian’s affable countenance. Confounded by it all, Marité flipped back around just as Michael looked up, tossed back his leonine mane in obvious defiance, and smirked. Ignoring everyone present, he glared at her. A chill ran down Marité’s spine…

Story Excerpt
“You would have saved me,” Laikyn said against his lips.
Her faith in him made him feel ten feet tall. “I’ll always protect you. You come first, middle, and last in my world. My every waking breath will be filled with your scent. I need you, Laikyn.”
“We should help Rowan unload the trailer into the barn for the night.” Laikyn nuzzled against his neck.
She fit him. He called her his kitten, and the way she was rubbing up against him, the soft little sighs, he truly thought the name appropriate, even though they were wolves.
“Alright, let’s get it done, so I can make you mine properly.” Kellen opened his door, climbing out with Laikyn in his arms.
“It’s a good thing you’re such a big man, Kellen.” Laikyn wrapped her arms around his neck.
He looked down at her. “Why’s that,” he asked letting her slide down the front of his body.
“You’re always picking me up, and I’m far from a small chick.” She stood on her toes and kissed his beard stubbled chin.
Kellen gripped her ass, bringing her flush with his hard-on. “Thank god for that. I love how you fit against me.”
Banging on the door had him growling. “Damn that Rowan.”
She laughed. “He is probably wanting to get home and practice making babies.”
“Boy needs to figure that shit out,” Kellen mumbled striding to the door.
At the door Rowan and Lyric stood with worried expressions. Rowan held his hand up, ready to knock again. “I know how to make babies. I just enjoy the practice. Tell her we are ready to do the making and its game on. Now, what the fuck happened?”
They spent the next few minutes getting the trailer in the barn, then Kellen ushered the couple into the large log home. After he shared the information Damien had given them, Rowan began to pace.
“How do we protect the entire pack if he decides to pull the same shit on them that he did on you two?”
“Forewarned is forearmed, man. Besides, I can share with everyone at once.” Kellen kept his tone level.
Lyric stood in front of Rowan. “He’s the alpha, remember.”
“So do you send out a call or text?” Humor laced Rowan’s voice, but Kellen saw through to the real worry.
Kellen nodded. “Something like that. I believe a mind-fuck some might call it, but I will do a little love tap first. I hate to bombard everyone at once, however it must be done now. I’m going to give Xan a heads up first.” Kellen gave Laikyn a kiss. “You will have to ignore his snarly attitude.”
“What do you mean?” Laikyn blinked up at him.
“I don’t plan to keep you out, so when I tap on Xan’s mind, he’ll more than likely be snarling back at me. Ignore him.”
Within minutes Kellen and Xan were mind-speaking, luckily he and Breezy weren’t in the process of doing the deed, making the snarling minimal. As Kellen’s second, Xan would help Kellen funnel the information throughout the pack.
“I say we use Rowan and his link with Lyric as well. He’s a strong alpha, not to mention a force to be reckoned with,” Xan suggested.

Sexy in Time by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

It's My Sexy Saturday time.

I love my sexy Saturday, and I hope you all enjoy it as well.

This week's theme:  Sexy in Time

I thought these 7 paragraphs from Melt My Heart is a Sexy time.   Gabriel and Lexi have just spent a platonic night together and it's the next morning.  You've got to love a man who cooks breakfast.

He smiled. “It’s going to be my pleasure to serve you today.”

“What?” She glanced from his face to the plate in front of him and then back at his face. He couldn’t mean...Apparently, he did. Her heart stuttered and her breath caught in her throat. He piled the food onto a single plate, picked up a piece of bacon, and held it up to her lips. Her stomach growled.

Lexi opened her mouth and took a bite. Crunchy, salty heaven. With each bite, her need for control waned until there was only a tiny piece left. Her gaze met his. With a slight hesitation, she took his fingers into her mouth and licked them clean.

His hazel eyes darkened with desire. She let his fingers go with a pop then chewed the remaining bacon and swallowed.

He speared the scrambled eggs on the fork and brought it to her lips.

She opened, took the morsel and chewed. All the time, their gazes connected. Lord, she never knew being submissive could be so romantic, so fulfilling. She licked her lips, and he groaned.

“You’re trying to kill me.” His voice was strained.

I hope you've enjoyed this week's My Sexy Saturday.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.

hell-bent-deepsix3-audio-coverHell Bent: Deep Six Security Series, Book 3

WLK synopsis
Cade Winters has been running from his overbearing father for 15 years. Even he admits his method of escape was extreme, though. But joining the military, eventually being recruited into the elite Delta Force and then by a black ops firm kept him busy at the far ends of the earth, which was almost far enough away from his family and the woman he tried to love but who seemed hell bent on working for her brother's security firm, even if it meant getting herself killed.
Suddenly, it seems like all the women in his life have a death wish though, when his sister Veronica, a Texas judge, decides to support a non-profit group that promotes re-training trafficked women before they are deported. Taking on that hot-button issue has gotten her in hot water with a homegrown terrorist group who is threatening her life. Even though he vowed never to go back to Texas, Cade has to help his sister, the only one in his family who cares about him.
When he finds Cee Cee Logan manning the front desk at Deep Six Security, he's relieved to see that she's very much still alive, but he's also disgusted because he feels that way too for the first time in years just by seeing her. Cade sets his mind to avoiding her at all costs but when she becomes the only one who can help him save his sister he has a tough decision to make. Does he put her in danger himself to save his sister and take the chance of losing them both permanently? Or does he do what he did 10 years prior - try to keep her safe, but lose her again anyway?

MEET THE AUTHOR

Cheryl Douglas - Author Photo
When one door closes, another one opens. I closed the door to my business for the last time in 2011, which left me with a decision. What now? Find another location and move my nutrition business, go to work for someone else, or take a chance on my dream? I chose the latter and I’ve never looked back!
I’ve always loved reading and writing, but it wasn’t until I jumped in with both feet and decided writing would be my career, instead of just a hobby, that my muse woke up from her deep slumber.
It was like someone flipped a switch inside my head and stories just came pouring out. At the end of the day, I would often look at the keyboard and wonder, ‘Who the heck wrote that? ‘Cause I’m pretty sure it wasn’t me!’
I don’t write books. I tell stories, or rather, I allow my characters to tell their stories through me. I’m not a plotter, never have been, never will be. Why? Because I have no idea how the story will evolve and it’s not my place to manipulate it. My job is to get to know these characters, figure out what makes them tick, then follow their journey wherever it takes me.
When I’m not writing, I’m daydreaming. Thankfully, I have an understanding husband and son who know I’ll re-join the land of the living just as soon as my muse decides it’s quitting time. I don’t work for myself. I work for her. She’s the boss. And I’m okay with that.
