Some Sexy Action by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

It's time again for My Sexy Saturday

This week's theme: Some Sexy Action

I decided to do 7 sentences this week.  This is from my book Melt My Heart.  Gabriel (my hero) finally gets Lexi (heroine) into his bed.

“Raise your arms.” She did, and he whisked the t-shirt off, leaving her standing in a pair of boxer shorts.

Her nipples hardened, and his eyes darkened with desire. “Beautiful,” he whispered, kissing his way between the valley of her breasts, to the top of her stomach. His fingers slid beneath the elastic of the shorts.

Her hands tangled in his hair as he lowered the shorts, letting them fall to the floor. Kneeling down, he dropped a kiss at the top of her mound.

I hope you've enjoyed the peak into my writing.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.

Blog Tour: Lipstick and Camouflage by Frances Stockton

Lipstick and Camoflage - tour header1
Lipstick and Camouflage (Brandt’s Dozen, Book One)
by Frances Stockton
WLK synopsis
FS_LipstickAndCamouflage_400x600
Security specialist Travis Blake’s undercover assignment should be easy. The former Navy SEAL has to protect Cassidy O'Neal from an elusive assassin. Yet, nothing about this case is simple.
For Cassidy, it’s easier to believe in ghosts than to think she’s in danger. Despite a series of unusual happenings around her apartment that make her feel uneasy, she has no idea her hot new neighbor is far more than he seems.
What starts off as simple flirtation quickly turns passionate. But, as danger intensifies, more than just their hearts are on the line.

WLK excerpt
Maybe Justin was the reason she was so jumpy lately. He’d not exactly left that night with a smile and she’d wondered if he’d come back and try again.
Or, maybe it was something else, something unexplained. Ever since she’d gone to Salem and took Mike Smith’s place as the lead cameraman in a ghost hunt, something had been off kilter about her apartment and the building itself. Granted, they’d caught some amazing EVPs that night, but the experienced investigators in her group, Jerome and Sam, concluded what they’d caught on audio was residual and non-threatening.
If it wasn’t Justin Myers or a ghost, maybe it was that surveyor who’d staked out the neighborhood. He’d claimed to be doing a favor for a friend looking to move into the area and open a new business. She hadn’t believed him. That man had an aura about him that was mysterious and dark, maybe dangerous. She’d run him off, and as far as she knew, he’d not returned.
Frustrated, she snapped her book closed and set it aside, going over to check the last load of laundry for the day. Being Friday, she’d worked a half day and had plans to do laundry, eat rocky road ice cream for dinner, and continue reading Edmond’s tale of revenge, justice, and romance until he skewed his best friend with a sword.
Okay, she’d read the book a couple of times. Next week, she’d open up The Three Musketeers and have four book boyfriends, though her personal favorite was Aramis.
Yeah, like anything that exciting would happen to her, but one could dream a tale of fiction even if her day job wasn’t exactly the same as a French sailor’s false imprisonment or Musketeers saving a king from a treacherous cardinal.
Taking a moment to switch up her music, she chose her classic rock playlist and increased the volume, singing, well, mostly humming until her favorite line, “We were making it,” came out loud and clear.
As if it mattered how badly she was singing while pulling bras and panties out of the dryer and tossing them into the hip-hugging basket on the floor beneath the machine.
Slamming the dryer door home and picking up her basket, she turned to go back to where she’d been sitting when movement caught her eye. Whipping around, she saw a tall, impressively built man standing in the doorway, as if he’d stepped right out of the pages of one of her novels.
A heartbeat later, he came toward her, proving he was no figment of her active imagination and seeming to get bigger with every step. Unsure what to do, Cassidy threw her basket at him and rushed for the door, getting less than two feet before her bare foot caught his boot and she went tumbling.

My love for storytelling began in kindergarten when I created my first fictional characters. Though I’d given them simple nicknames, I’d convinced my family that Red Henry and Green Henry were identical twin brothers in my elementary school.
They were mischievous, rarely did their homework, had trouble with math and spelling, experienced heartbreaking losses, and yes, they even had girlfriends!
It wasn’t until the Henry twins mysteriously moved to a different state that my family realized that they were entirely fictitious and my mother suggested I write the stories down.
A few years later, I began to write, completing my first manuscript at age thirteen. I confess the heroine was a cross between Nancy Drew and a contemporary Laura Ingalls Wilder, who happened to be dating one of the Hardy Boys. But when I’d written ‘the end’ on the very last page, I’d known I had more stories to tell. Of course life intervened, but whether I was in high school, becoming part of a local theater and dance company, working as a Veterinary Technician, earning a degree in History and Secondary Education, or teaching, I was always writing and reading romances.
Finally, I met and married the love of my life and moved from Maryland to Massachusetts in 2001. Shortly after, I proudly joined Romance Writers of America and the New England Chapter, and I’ve been writing faithfully ever since.

My Sexy Carriage by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

It's that time again for My Sexy Saturday.

This week's theme: My Sexy Carriage

This week is from my book More Than One Night.  This is a scene between Jake and Beth along with Beth's little dog Rosie as they get ready to go for a drive.

Setting Rosie in the front seat, he tossed her bag and Rosie’s bag in the small trunk of his Jag. He’d planned on leaving the top down, but with Rosie in the car, that wouldn’t be a good idea.

Glancing to see where Beth was, he found her at the bottom of the stairs, with Rosie’s blanket and two bottles of water in her hand.

“I was going to leave the top down, but with Rosie I figured I should put it up.” Her body was stiff, but her sea blue eyes calm.

“Down.” She stepped forward. “Since Rosie is so small, she’ll lay on her blanket at my feet and she’ll be fine.”

“Then your chariot awaits.” He swept out his hand, opened the door and bowed.

She chuckled. He loved the sound of her laughter. He had the feeling she didn’t have a lot of laughter in her life, he was going to change that too.

When she passed him, she stood on her toes and brushed a kiss across his cheek. “Thank you.”

Is it Spring Yet? by Marie Tuhart

Since it's the middle of March I was hoping to have a little spring already, but alas no, mother nature has other plans for me.

Here in Western Washington we've had an unusual wet winter, way above normal.  Usually by March it's tapering off, the storms are gone and we start to feel like there's more to the day than worrying about rain.

Not this year, we've had some powerful rain and wind storms come though in the last couple of weeks creating havoc.  I lost power one day, which is rare for me, luckily only for a little over an hour.  But others were out for a lot longer, some for days.

There are trees down in lots of areas, some falling not so much from the wind, but the rain.  The ground is so saturated the trees are just giving way.

We're expecting one more wind/rain storm this week, and I'm hoping it isn't too bad or it passes us by.

Even though the tree outside my office has buds, and the cherry trees have blossomed.  It's not quite spring yet.

Have a great week.

Sexy Says It All by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

It's that time again for My Sexy Saturday.

This week's theme: Sexy Says It All

This week is from my book Quick Silver Ranch: SaddleUp.  This a scene between Angie and Jared as they dance at their best friend's wedding.

She let her fingers skim from his neck, down over his shoulder blade, down his spine, over his well-defined ass, until she could rest her palm over his butt cheek. Then she squeezed it.

“Behave.” His breath brushed her ear and he swatted her ass.

“You hit me.” She couldn't believe it; he actually smacked her on the ass. Not that it hurt, but heat flowed through her body making her nipples grow harder. Shed never realized a little swat could make her so hot.

“I'll do worse if you don't behave yourself, Angie.”

“Promise?” The word was out of her mouth before she even realized it. The music ended, Jared escorted her back to the table and pulled out her chair.

His palms cupped her cheeks, tilting her face up to his. “We'll talk later.” He dropped a hard brief kiss on her lips before striding away.

Angie's heart skipped several beats while she observed Jared cross the room. She put her fingers to her lips and sank down onto the chair with her core pulsing with need and her panties wet. If he met her later, they wouldn't be talking if she had anything to say about it.

I hope you've enjoyed this week's My Sexy Saturday.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.

It was a Wild Wicked Weekend

This was my 2nd year attending Wild Wicked Weekend in San Antonio.

I had a blast.  It was great to catch up with friends and meet new people.  This really isn't your typical conference, it's more of a chance to relax, network, and have fun.

I went to the rodeo on Wednesday night with a neat group of ladies.  I haven't been to a rodeo in years.  I'm really hoping to go back next year and walk the grounds since its the San Antonio Stock and Rodeo.

Here's a picture from where I was sitting:

I have never been in an arena built like this one.  It was very difficult for me not to get dizzy from being so high, but I really could see everything.

Every year the conference is held at the Menger Hotel - which is haunted.  No ghost sightings for me but others did have some.

Here's a picture of the flowers in the courtyard (courtesy of Sharon Slick Reads)

And of course, the blog wouldn't be complete without a picture of the ladies who put on the conference and our male hosts (courtesy of Sharon Slick Reads)

I plan on going back next year, because I have so much fun.

Have a great week.

Our Night of Sexy by Marie Tuhart #mysexysaturday

This week's theme: Our Sexy Night

It was very hard to only do 7 paragraphs.  This week is from my book Bound and Teased.  Just some background, this a ménage book.  Ry and Jed (hero's) have taken Katie (heroine) to a very special place for dinner.  The restaurant caters to those in the BDSM lifestyle.

The music restarted up, and people started filling the dance floor. “Let’s dance.” Ry slid out of the booth.
“Sounds good to me,” Jed said, also sliding out, and they both held their hands out to her.
With a small sigh, she maneuvered her way out of the booth, placing her hands in theirs. They brought her to her feet. Jed released her hand as Ry led her out to the dance floor with Jed bringing up the rear.
Then Ry twirled her into his arms. “Put your hands on my shoulders,” he said.
When she did, Jed stepped up behind her and put his hands on her hips. Together, they started swaying to the music.
From the occasional shiver that coursed through her body, Ry guessed the nipple shields and clit teaser were doing their job. Catching Jed’s gaze, Ry gave a little nod, and Jed grinned at him.
“You fit so well in our arms,” Ry said as Jed’s palms inched down and Ry slipped his hands up to her neck.

I hope you've enjoyed this week's My Sexy Saturday.  Don't forget to check out all the other my sexy bloggers this week.
